I'm fascinated by postcards for a number of reasons. Iconic/ironic depictions of places + personal narrative + distribution to those back home = propagation of the tourist gaze.

I went to the junk store across the street from my apartment and sifted through their displays of old postcards. While browsing I noticed that more than once I came upon cards addressed to the same person. I began sorting the repeats and came away with fourteen postcards addressed to Leah Miller, spanning a time period of almost twenty years. The accumulation of these cards formed a conversation of sorts. Several had been written by the same person from various places. This project is a distillation of the cards.
